Why leave a gift in you Will to the Charity?
Remember the fire community in your WillIt costs over £9million every year to provide our vital support services to the fire community and with no government funding, we are reliant upon donations, so your support is very much needed.

By leaving a gift in your Will to The Fire Fighters Charity you will make a real, and lasting, difference to the brave men and women of the UK Fire Service. Your gift will go directly towards helping fire service personnel in need, and will ensure that the Charity is here to help future generations of the fire service community.

Leaving a gift in your Will is a very generous act which will enable us to continue to help more and more individuals each year. Thank you so much.

I don't have a Will, what should I do?
If you do not have a Will at the moment you really should think about making one because if you were to die without a Will in place, the law would determine how your assets are shared out regardless of what you would have wanted.To make a Will you may need to see a Solicitor and although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive sound professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are achieved.

To leave a gift in your Will, you will need to contact your Solicitor to advise them of your wishes. There are two types of gift that you can leave in your Will:

  • Residuary gift - you can choose to leave a share, or the whole amount, of what is left in your estate once you have provided for your loved ones.
  • Pecuniary gift - you can choose to give a gift of a fixed amount of money
