Throwing out some old clothes? Got an old mobile phone lying around? Well, you can now recycle them and raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity at the same time!
Clothes Banks
Recycle your old clothes, textiles and shoes at one of our clothing banks and for every ton collected, the Charity will receive 20% of the value! The clothing banks are currently located in supermarket, council and work place car parks in the East Midlands area so if you live in the area look out for one near you. Over the next six months the banks will also be placed in other areas throughout the UK. You can easily identify the Charity’s clothing banks as they are bright yellow and have The Fire Fighters Charity logo on the front.

Mobile Phone Recycling
You can now recycle your old mobile phones in aid of the Charity. Everyone has an old mobile phone lying around that they no longer need, so dig yours out and turn it into £5-7 for The Fire Fighters Charity. For every phone recycled, the Charity receives £5-7, dependant on make, model and age. All you need to do is request a mobile phone recycling envelope from us, and when you receive it, put your old phone in the envelope and pop it in the postbox – it’s that easy!
If you are holding an event, such as a car wash, open day or ladder climb, you could give the envelopes out!

Door-to-door clothing collection
The Charity will be collecting clothes for recycling from your doorstep. Clothing bags, bearing the Charity’s logo, will be delivered to houses for you to fill with old clothes, textiles and shoes, and then collected one week later. The door-to-door clothing collection will be happening across the UK at allocated times, licensed by local authorities and local brigades will be aware.
