Have you ever wanted to travel the world without spending a single penny? Go to places you’ve never been before? Meet new people?
If so, then The Great Escape could be just up your street!
The Great Escape is an extreme charity hitchhike in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity. In teams of two or three, you'll have just 36 hours to get as far away from the start point as possible, but you’ll have to use your wit, charm and persuasion skills, as the challenge is to get as far as you can without spending a single penny on transport!
And of course, if you manage to get to sunnier climes and want to stay a few extra days, why not?!
Previous participants have managed to get as far as Las Vegas, Tokyo, and the Canary Islands – how far you go is up to you! All we ask is that you pay a registration fee of just £25 and raise a minimum of £75 per person in sponsorship, however the more money you raise, the better!
This year’s events will take place during the weekends of;
· Saturday 3rd - Sunday 4th July
· Saturday 24th - Sunday 25th July,
The Great Escape will start at 9am on the Saturday, from a selection of start locations throughout the UK.
