The Fire Fighters CharityThere are ten award categories for The Spirit of Fire Awards 2010 including two brand new award categories; Fire & Rescue Employee of the Year and The Fire Fighters Charity Fire Fighter of the Year. The ten Award categories are:
Lifetime Achievement Award: Awarded to an individual who has committed to over 30 years, and has undertaken outstanding dedication to The Fire Fighters Charity by way of fundraising and support.
The Fire Fighters Charity Station of the Year: Awarded to the Fire Station that has performed its rescue duties with outstanding dedication and supported the fire services’ community through The Fire Fighters Charity.
The Fire Fighters Charity Brigade of the Year: Awarded to the Fire & Rescue Service which has been the most supportive of The Fire Fighters Charity in terms of fundraising.
The Fire Fighters Charity Supporter of the Year: Awarded to an individual or team who has given support and dedicated time to The Fire Fighters Charity over the past year.
The Fire Fighters Charity Beneficiary of Courage: Awarded to a member of the Fire Services community who has shown a strength of character when injured or bad fortune has struck.
Britain's Bravest Fire Fighter: Awarded to the bravest fire fighter throughout England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, who has shown extreme bravery and outstanding courage during a Fire & Rescue situation.
Fire Services' Public Child Hero: Awarded to a member of the public under the age of 18 who has shown great bravery and dedication when confronted with a fire & rescue situation.
Fire Services' Public Adult Hero: Awarded to a member of the public over the age of 18 who has shown great bravery and dedication when confronted with a fire & rescue situation.
Fire & Rescue Employee of the Year: Awarded to a member of Fire & Rescue staff, other than a serving fire fighter, who has shown dedication and commitment to supporting The Fire Fighters Charity or has performed an outstanding service to the Fire & Rescue Service.
The Fire Fighters Charity Fire Fighter of the Year: Awarded to a serving fire fighter who has performed an outstanding rescue or gone beyond the call of duty during a Fire & Rescue Situation.
