Best ever Ladies Driving Challenge!
The Fire Fighters Charity and British Red Cross once again held their annual Ladies Driving Challenge, at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire, on 11th October 2009. Participants tried their hands at manoeuvring a range of different vehicles such as Fire Engines, 4x4's, HGV's, JCB's and tractors - all kindly donated by local companies.
Event organiser Laura Harden said: "Local companies helped us to raise over £23,000 in aid of the charities from this years event alone. This year the event was so popular we easily filled the 200 spaces for the event! Each year the event grows and next year we are expecting it to be full once again, so if you would like to take part, please do get in touch."
All proceeds from the event will be split evenly between The Fire Fighters Charity and British Red Cross. The Ladies Driving Challenge is the perfect opportunity to do something different for the day with friends and family members. To take part next year, entrants should request a registration form from Laura Harden on 07798 725560 or lharden@firefighterscharity.org.uk.
