What We Do

We are the UK's leading provider of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families. Our vision is to make a positive difference by supporting people in the fire and rescue community when they are in need. Over the years, we have helped hundreds of thousands of individuals by providing world-class treatment and support services.

It costs over £9 million per year to keep the Charity running, and we are completely reliant upon donations and fundraising, so your support is very much needed.

The role of a firefighter is one of bravery, loyalty and devotion to public service. Just like firefighters, we are passionate about our work and the services we provide to the men and women who risk their lives to save ours.

Our Centres

We have three centres in Devon, Cumbria and West Sussex, which offer a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation and recuperation to members of the fire and rescue community in times of need. Our centre in Cumbria also offers nursing care.

To aid emotional recuperation, we additionally offer one or two week breaks designed to help those who have suffered injury, illness, stress or bereavement.

Our Support Services

Our free, confidential helpline is available to all members of the fire and rescue community. Whatever your background or situation, our friendly team of advisors has been trained to provide impartial advice, guidance and support on a wide range of concerns.

We are also available to provide practical assistance and solutions on a local level through our nationwide network of professional staff and volunteers.
