The Edinburgh Marathon began in 2003 and has continually grown in popularity and stature, having received a 97% satisfaction rating in a recent Runner’s World poll.
The Edinburgh Marathon has sold out every year since 2008 and is the second largest marathon in the UK, behind only London.
The route is flat and fast, making the Edinburgh Marathon an excellent race for obtaining a personal best, it is also ideal if you are contemplating your first Marathon. There are also some great sites along the way.
Runners must be a minimum of 18 years old on race day to enter.

Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter can also help generate great awareness.
