Sally Belzoni-Champollion is married to a North Yorkshire firefighter and has received nursing and physiotherapy support from us at Jubilee House due to a number of health conditions. Will Raeper, an on-call firefighter with North Yorkshire FRS, received our support when a serious injury meant he faced months off work from his day job, with a dramatic cut to his income. Firefighter Leigh Forster has received our support through a long journey with cancer, not only with his physical health, but also online and in our centres to help aid his mental wellbeing. Retired Lancashire firefighter Barry Hornsby saw his life turned upside down when he suffered a stroke while playing golf. However, with our teams’ help, he’s now able to walk again and is focusing on the future. Former firefighter Paul Weller didn't like to talk about his problems - but it was only after he reached crisis point that he says that changed. He now hopes his story will inspire others to seek help earlier.
