Katie Grant took on the 2023 London Marathon in aid of us having experienced our support first-hand. Thanks to your kind donations, we’ve been able to support Paul Burchett - a firefighter with Humberside FRS – with his physical health and through mounting financial challenges, which in turn had begun impacting his mental health. Retired on-call firefighter, Graham Wass, is living with MS which impacts his day-to-day life hugely. He’s been supported both face-to-face and remotely in recent years – thanks to funds raised and donations made by you. Shelley Robinson, a firefighter with London Fire Brigade, has received our help twice – firstly amid difficulties with her mental health, and again more recently as she faced long-term symptoms of Covid-19. When Nikki Haxton-Jones’ husband, Danny, passed away, she vowed to raise money for us in his memory – and she and her two kids, as well as Danny’s colleagues, have continued ever since.
