When Colin and Sadie Morris needed funding for a high-tech helmet to improve the life of their newborn son, Fire Fighters Charity stepped in to help. After suffering a mini stroke, retired West Midlands firefighter Paul Fallon contacted the charity to see if we could aid his recovery and help him get back on track. Following a week at Harcombe House, his confidence has soared. Donald Johnston, a Community Safety Advocate for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service visited Harcombe House in Devon to receive help for a problematic knee that affected his everyday life. Tyne and Wear’s Community Safety Officer Mehrban Sadiq approached the charity for help getting back on his feet after a serious illness. Jim Walker left South Wales Fire and Rescue Service 14 years ago but is still coming to terms with an incident that led to life changing PTSD.
