The awards which took place at Fratton Park on Thursday 16th February 2017, are in association with Portsmouth Together and The Youth Voice Network, and aim to recognise individuals and organisations who have made a contribution to the youth voice in the city during 2016.

There were several award categories including; Young Person of the Year, Teacher of the Year, School of The Year, Youth Organisation of the Year and Public Sector Organisation of the Year. Having received all nominations the winners were then chosen by the Portsmouth Youth Voice team.

We were delighted to hear that Andrew Dane from #OneLadsChallenge; a mission to visit all 2,300 fire stations in the UK to raise money for the Charity, won the Young Person of the Year award receiving a trophy and certificate.

Congratulations to Andrew from all at the Charity.

Andrew is continuing his challenge this year with more visits planned throughout the UK. He has also managed to convince his mum to take his challenge to the next level with a trip to America!
