We may still be ten days away from his main appearance on the 25th, but more than 160 Father Christmases took to the pavements over the weekend, as part of our first ever Fire Family Santa Dash.

After a year that has been challenging for so many of us, it was fantastic to see our social media feeds overtaken with people donning their festive finery and going out for a walk or run as part of our virtual Christmas event, all in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.

With no requirement to get sponsorship and just an entry price to pay to take part, our dashing Santas raised a whopping £3,500 of income, which was generously added to by the event’s sponsors, Aspray Ltd, who contributed £3,500 to our total.

There is still time to take part if you’d like to, you just need to decide what distance you’d like to cover, pay the £13 ticket fee and then decide which of your Christmas jumpers will best complement your Santa hat, tinsel scarf or reindeer onesie. For more information on joining in, visit our Santa Dash page.

Congratulations to all of you. Here’s just some of our supporters who took part over the weekend.
