We were delighted to team up with The Jamie Carragher 23 Foundation last week to host a star-studded sports dinner in support of the fantastic work of both organisations.

The ‘Ladder 23 Night’ hosted by local comedian Willie Miller was held at Liverpool’s Titanic hotel and featured the BBC’s Richard Askam in conversation with Carragher about his childhood, football career and life after the beautiful game.

Other entertainment on the night included impressionist Darren Farley, harpist Ian Ruddock and the Cheshire Fire Choir.

Alan Knell, Regional Fundraiser for The Fire Fighters Charity said; “What a fantastic night, so much planning went into it and in the end it was a fantastic event!

“And Jamie, what a fella. He really cares about his community but also appreciates the jobs firefighters do for our communities as well. Jamie has been very proactive and supportive of us and the evening raised some serious money for both charities, which is fantastic.”

“Thanks so much to all the businesses that supported the event, and everyone who attended. It was lovely to see so many firefighters having an absolutely brilliant time.”

Profits from the night were split between the 23 Foundation and our Charity and you can still donate to the cause via the Just Giving link here.
