Researchers at Nottingham Trent University and the University of Queensland are looking for retired (or soon to retire) firefighters to share their experience of retirement for a new study for The Fire Fighters Charity.

The studies are looking into the transitions into retirement and the challenges faced by operational firefighters from the UK fire and rescue service.

They are interested in hearing a diverse range of experiences, including recent retirees, those who retired a while ago, and those who are approaching retirement. Whether you retired early due to ill health or your retirement was at the end of a long and happy service, they want to hear from you.

If you’d like to take part in the research or you’re after more information, contact Neela Muhlemann on neela.muhlemann@ntu.ac.uk or phone 07902 515 070.
