Luxury British watch maker, William Wood Watches is to donate 50% of its profits from the sale of a unique collection of firefighter-inspired watches to The Fire Fighters Charity.

Jonny Garrett, founder of the London-based timepiece specialist, has created a bespoke collection of watches in memory of his grandfather, William Wood, who served in the British Fire Service for over 25 years and was awarded commendations for his bravery and service.

The watches have been designed to symbolically recognise the bravery of firefighters across the world and, by purchasing one from our online shop, you’ll be helping firefighters in need as William Wood Watches has agreed to donate 50% of its profits from every one we sell.

Jonny said of his decision: “For me there was no other charity to donate to than The Fire Fighters Charity. When my grandfather was alive he used the recuperation facilities provided through the Charity, and in a small way this is me giving back.

“We are donating 50% from every watch sold by the Charity to support the magnificent work it does to help firefighters and their loved ones, which I have seen first hand.

“It means so much to be working with the Charity and being able to share our fantastic story with people who really appreciate our heritage.”

The Chivalrous collection, the first ever range from William Wood Watches, comprises of five watches that are all limited edition with a unique number engraved on the caseback.

Jonny added: “My grandfather’s character and illustrious career has inspired our brand and design in many ways. Our logo represents the profile of a traditional British 1920s firefighter’s helmet and placed in the back of every watch is a limited edition William Wood coin. Each coin is made from brass which is the same metal used in a vintage British firefighter’s helmet.”
