The annual campaign, which launched this weekend in The Saturday Telegraph, appeals to its readers to support three different charities in the run up to Christmas, with this year’s focusing on mental health.

‘The Telegraph Christmas Charity Appeal for 2018 focuses on three individual cases with one common aim,’ the paper writes. ‘To support those experiencing mental health difficulties and to prevent them suffering in silence.’

“I am delighted we have been chosen to feature in the appeal,” says Charity Chief Executive Dr Jill Tolfrey. “This is a fantastic opportunity for us, not only potentially raising a substantial sum for us from readers’ donations, but also in raising public awareness of our Charity, the work we do, and the very need for our existence.”

Over the next two months, features and articles will appear across the paper’s various weekday and weekend editions, as well as its website and social media channels. With the Appeal’s focus on mental health, much of these will focus on those beneficiaries who have accessed our psychological support services, as well as a number of staff working within the Charity.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us, not only potentially raising a substantial sum but also in raising public awareness.”
