London Marathon 2019 - Application Form

The Fire Fighters Charity has a limited number of Charity places available for the 2019 Virgin London Marathon and all applications will be subject to a selection process. Please complete the form below in as much detail as possible and submit no later than the 29 June 2018 any applications received after this date will not be considered.

  • Selection Process:

    All applications will be reviewed week commencing 2 July 2018. During this week the Charity may contact you to discuss your application before a final decision is made.

    The successful applicants will be notified on the 9 July 2018. If successful you will be required to pay a £100.00 registration fee (non-refundable) to secure the place and fundraise a further £1,900.00 (excluding gift aid) of which we require 80%, £1520.00, to be raised by Friday 18 January 2019.
  • Fundraising and Training Meeting:

    Successful applicants will be invited to a Fundraising and Training Meeting in September the specific date and location of this will be confirmed later. We will ask you to come to the meeting with your prepared plan of how you intend to reach your fundraising target.

    The meeting will include guest speaker presentations covering: Help and advice on fundraising and how you can reach the fundraising target, using social media, training and preparation for the London Marathon. You will also receive your running vest and fundraising pack, as well as any other materials you will need to help you achieve your fundraising target.

    If you are unable to attend this meeting in person, we would ask for you to be available to join the meeting by conference call.

    Refreshments will be provided.
  • General Ballot:

    If you have also applied through the General Ballot and are given a place in October, the Charity place will be withdrawn, however we would still love you to be part of The Fire Fighters Charity team so please contact us as soon as you are notified to discuss how we can support you.
