We ask successful participants to raise a minimum of £2,250 (excl. Gift Aid). If awarded a place, how much do you think you could raise? How will you go about that?*

Please outline your fundraising plans (we recommend at least three methods of fundraising) and include as much detail as possible. This will help us to select our runners for 2026.

Selection Process:

Successful applicants will be notified week commencing 9 June 2025. If successful, you will be required to pay a £100.00 registration fee (non-refundable) by 30 June to secure the place, and fundraise a further £2,250 (excluding gift aid) of which we require 80%, £1,800, to be raised by 6 February 2026. Please note you will have a Regional Fundraiser to liaise with for advice and support.

Fundraising and Training Meeting:

Successful applicants will be invited to a virtual Fundraising and Training Meeting. We will ask you to come to the meeting with your prepared plan of how you intend to reach your fundraising target. The meeting will include guest speaker presentations covering: Help and advice on fundraising and how you can reach the fundraising target, using social media, training and preparation for the London Marathon.

General Ballot:

If you have also applied through the General Ballot and are successfully given a place, the Charity place will be withdrawn, however we would still love you to be part of Fire Fighters Charity team so please contact us as soon as you are notified to discuss how we can support you.
