Who we are

We’re the UK fire family’s charity, providing timely clinical care and wellbeing support to members of the UK’s fire services and their families, helping them to adapt to physical, emotional and social challenges, to adapt to conditions, injuries and illness, and to transition to life after service.

About Fire Fighters Charity

Could we support you?

The following people are all eligible for help from Fire Fighters Charity (qualifying criteria may apply).

  • Fire services personnel (wholetime, retained, uniformed, control or support)
  • Former fire personnel with five years’ service (or two if you were made redundant)
  • Medically retired fire personnel (no qualifying length of service required)
  • Works firefighter or former works firefighters with five years’ service
  • Those who manage or assist a Fire Services Youth Scheme
  • Fire services chaplains or faith leaders
  • Eligible dependants of any of the above
  • Fire services volunteers

If one of these applies to you or your loved one, you are a beneficiary of the charity.

Please note: At Fire Fighters Charity, we provide care and support based on eligibility and assessment of need.
We reserve the right to determine the priority, type, location and timing of our care and support offering to each individual. These decisions are made with care and in alignment with our values, policies, and safeguarding responsibilities.
