The Morrisons Foundation has given an incredible boost to our Marine Court centre in Littlehampton, by donating £9,500 towards a much-needed pool hoist to help beneficiaries with mobility issues during their stay.

The hoist will be a vital piece of equipment going forwards, as it will allow many that wouldn’t otherwise have been able to access the pool to do so – aiding their rehabilitation during their time at the centre.

Speaking of the donation, Dr Jill Tolfrey, Chief Executive of The Fire Fighters Charity, says: “The generous donation from Morrisons Foundation will make a huge difference to those we support with mobility issues at our Marine Court centre. It will enable them to get in and out of our pool safely and to experience valuable water-based therapy sessions that would be otherwise inaccessible to them.

“On behalf of our beneficiaries, my thanks to all those at the Foundation for their incredible support.”

James Sandercock, the Charity’s estates and facilities manager, met with Alison Whitburn, community champion at the Morrisons store in Littlehampton, this week as she presented the cheque for £9,500.

The Morrisons Foundation, which launched in 2015, supports charities making a positive difference in local communities. So far, it has donated over £33m to help good causes across England, Scotland and Wales.

To all at Morrisons Foundation, a huge thank you from everyone at the Charity – we’re so incredibly grateful.
