From supporting their communities through tough times, through to fighting wildfires, continuing to support the ongoing Covid-19 response and going above and beyond for our charity, our fire service family have shown incredible strength and determination over the last 12 months.
And now a few of them have been honoured by the King in the 2023 New Year’s Honours.
“I’d like to warmly congratulate all those members of our fire services community who have been recognised for their hard work, support and dedication to their communities in the New Year’s Honours this year,” says our Chief Executive, Dr Jill Tolfrey.
“In a year that has seen fire personnel face new challenges – constantly going to extraordinary lengths to keep their communities safe – it’s wonderful to recognise just a few of those who have devoted their time to supporting those around them, as well as our charity. I send my best wishes and sincere thanks to you all.”
