Our Housekeeping team is on hand to help you during your stay, so should you have a requirement or enquiry, please speak to Reception and your message will be passed on. All rooms in the centre are cleaned on a daily basis and tea and coffee products are replenished each day. Bed linen is changed once a week or sooner if necessary. Towels are provided for all guests and can be changed upon request. These are for use in the room only, and must not be used in the swimming pool or gym areas. Hair dryers are available upon request from Reception for centre guests, but bungalows and houses have their own.
All rooms in the centre have two Nurse call points, one next to the bed and the other is a red pull-cord in the bathroom. These should only be used in an emergency for non-nursing clients. Bungalows and houses do not have nursing call points.
Guests have access to our free car park for the duration of their stay, and guests in houses have their own driveway to park on. Disabled spaces are available in front of the centre. Please note, users of our car parks do so at their own risk and the Charity can accept no liability for any accidents, loss or damage to their vehicles.
At this time we are unable to permit visitors to join you for any part of your stay.
We pride ourselves on being able to provide a peaceful, relaxing environment for people visiting us. Please respect this wish for serenity by keeping noise to a minimum at all times, especially after 9pm. Televisions can be heard in neighbouring rooms if the volume is too loud in the early hours.
Damages and breakages
If during your stay you notice damage to property or you accidentally break something, please report it to Reception at the time. Please ensure you switch off appliances after using them.
Bedrooms in the centre are accessed by an electronic key card, which should be kept with you at all times, and guests should be aware bedroom doors will lock automatically behind you. Please remember to leave your card with Reception at the end of your stay, as replacement cards will incur a cost of £3.
If joining us for a programme of activity, you will be given a name badge upon arrival that should be worn at all times while in the building. If you leave the centre for whatever reason, please leave your badge with Reception so you are accounted for in the event of an emergency.
Please make all enquiries regarding lost property to Reception. Please also note that we may have to charge for postage if we find the item after you return home. We are unable to keep property for longer than three months after your stay.
We kindly ask all our guests to ensure windows and doors are locked when leaving your accommodation. We do not advise keeping valuables or excessive amounts of money in your room, as the Charity cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged while on site. Safety deposit boxes are available at Reception. Security staff patrol the outside of the building several times throughout the night, and can be contacted on 01768 890 009. They may also walk around internal corridors at night, so if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to speak to them.
All external doors are alarmed overnight, and will sound in reception and the location of the door if opened. Please do not open fire doors or any other unauthorised doors during the night unless it is a genuine emergency.
Rubbish and recycling
We ask that you leave your accommodation in a tidy state and you dispose of all rubbish upon your departure. Guests staying in the centre can use the bins in their room. For guests staying in our bungalows or houses, general household waste is collected at the end of your stay, and centre staff will ensure blue bin bags are put out ready to be collected. The Local Authority provides green sacks for recycling cardboard and plastic and a green box for paper, tins and bottles. Both of these can be found inside the oblong containers outside your property. Green wheelie bins are for garden waste only.
No smoking policy
Please note, we operate a strict no smoking policy within Jubilee House and the grounds. This also applies to e-cigarettes. There is a designated smoking area on the patio facing the river, with a provided cigarette bin.
We would be grateful if you could please vacate your accommodation by the time agreed with you, leaving your key card and/or bungalow key with Reception and settling your account. We ask that you leave your room or bungalow in a tidy state and you dispose of all rubbish. You will have access to your accommodation until you depart, should you wish to safely shower or change after finishing activities.
In order to help us prevent the spread of infection, we ask that you strip your bed sheets at the end of your stay and put these in the bathroom, along with any of our towels. Your help in this matter is very much appreciated, especially by our Housekeeping team, who you will be helping to keep safe in doing so.
