Jamie explains: “It was about mid-morning, just before lunchtime. We were doing an exercise for an open day that was happening the following weekend. Myself and a colleague were going to do the first rescue as part of a demonstration. It was going to be a very basic pick off rescue from a training tower. The first part went well but as soon as I picked him up and we both came out of the window of the third floor, the system failed and we ended up falling 12.5m to a concrete floor.”
