Alison Byrne-Paul, who is married to a Cheshire firefighter, has been receiving support from us at Jubilee House ever since being diagnosed with a severe brain tumour. Retired firefighter, Ken Brown, suffered a stroke in 2010 which left him with limited mobility. Here, he shares how our nursing team at Jubilee House helped him build the strength to walk again. Sally Belzoni-Champollion is married to a North Yorkshire firefighter and has received nursing and physiotherapy support from us at Jubilee House due to a number of health conditions. Retired Lancashire firefighter Barry Hornsby saw his life turned upside down when he suffered a stroke while playing golf. However, with our teams’ help, he’s now able to walk again and is focusing on the future. Miriam Heppell is living with a genetic condition which causes chronic pain and seriously impacts her movement. She says the support she’s had, both in a centre and online, has changed her day-to-day life – and it’s all thanks to your donations.
