After almost three decades spent protecting others, retired firefighter Neil Adair is now facing his own toughest challenge: living with motor neurone disease. Thanks to a garage conversion, however, he’s been able to remain at home with his loved ones. Alison Byrne-Paul, who is married to a Cheshire firefighter, has been receiving support from us at Jubilee House ever since being diagnosed with a severe brain tumour. Ivy Greenwell’s husband Harry has been cared for by our nursing team twice, after a serious accident and subsequent stroke left him paralysed on one side. Here, she shares why she’s donated £1,000 to us… Retired firefighter, Ken Brown, suffered a stroke in 2010 which left him with limited mobility. Here, he shares how our nursing team at Jubilee House helped him build the strength to walk again. Sally Belzoni-Champollion is married to a North Yorkshire firefighter and has received nursing and physiotherapy support from us at Jubilee House due to a number of health conditions.
