We all need to look after our back, particularly as we get older, but it’s especially important if you have the responsibility of caring for someone. Caring for loved ones starts with caring for yourself and, as the old saying goes, ‘prevention is better than cure’.

Back pain is very common amongst carers and helping to look after someone day-to-day may only exacerbate that, as you’re on your feet constantly and may need to help lift someone.

Understanding how to look after you back whilst caring for someone is, therefore, hugely important.
