We are celebrating Pride Month this month alongside our fire family right across the UK – and we’re taking the opportunity to highlight our ongoing work to improve and enhance inclusion in our organisation.
Our Director of Organisational Development and Corporate Services, Chris Goonan, says: “As an inclusive organisation, we are constantly working to ensure everyone can be their unique self while at work. As part of that, we are currently undertaking a project to improve and enhance diversity, equity and inclusion for our employees, volunteers and beneficiaries.
“This planned, documented approach will ensure that difference is always respected and celebrated within our organisation.β
Hereβs how some of our Fire and Rescue Services across the UK are marking Pride Month:
A huge congratulations to Firefighter Tracy Doyle, who has won an @AttitudeMag Pride Award, which celebrates unsung heroes in the LGBTQ+ community.
