Firefighter Tracey Garrett attended our Menopause Programme at Harcombe House and says it was invaluable – not only in teaching her coping strategies, but also creating lasting bonds with like-minded others. Retired Devon and Somerset firefighter, Greg Rowland, has been receiving our physiotherapy support as an outpatient at Harcombe House ever since he was injured in a major road traffic collision. Helen Martin has visited Harcombe House with her daughter Holly ever since she was involved in a devastating riding accident. Here, she shares how we’ve supported her and her family… Carole Whittaker is married to retired Dorset firefighter, Pete, and received support from us at Jubilee House following a hip operation. She says she feels “privileged and blessed” by her experience. Kat Jones is planning to run a future London Marathon in aid of us after we supported her and her family amid a challenging time with two of her children, who are both living with degenerative conditions.
