For the first time ever, Hertfordshire Station Commander James Bull is opening up about his own mental health struggles in the hope it inspires other people to do the same. Clare Banks is walking a thousand miles in a year to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity, as a way of saying thank you for the kindness shown to her husband, Cliff, after his stroke. Through the ups and downs, they are by each other's side, every single step of the way. Retired Dorset and Wiltshire firefighter Ludo Macaulay has been recognised with an MBE for a lifetime of service to his community and The Fire Fighters Charity, after spending nearly 50 years supporting causes closest to his heart. Retired County Durham firefighter Harry Binyon is one of two people to be recognised in the New Years Honours List 2020 for their contribution to The Fire Fighters Charity. We sit down to hear why he's spent 40 years raising money for us. Andrew Impey is a remarkable young man. Not only is he raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity by trying to visit all fire stations in the UK, but as an autistic teenager, he is also raising awareness of the disability among the fire and rescue community. He tells us all about the journey his One Lad’s Challenge has taken him on.
