After retiring from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service Bob was involved in a serious road traffic collision. Tragically his wife was killed in the accident and he sustained major injuries which hospitalised him for a year. In this interview, Bob tells his story and explains how the Charity has helped him regain his mobility and independence. After injuring his knee, London firefighter Mark Watson had to take time off and undergo surgery. We caught up with him at Marine Court. Former retained firefighter, Kern, talks openly about the difference the Charity's psychological support team has made to his life. During a friendly rugby game between London Fire Brigade and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, Peter suffered a neck injury that required surgery. Here he talks about the difference the Charity made in helping him get back to work. Royal Berkshire firefighter Andy Grist, 35, joined the service nine years ago. 2014 saw him tackle 14 challenges raising thousands of pounds for The Fire Fighters Charity and Camberley-based Make-A-Wish Foundation.
