Northamptonshire Crew Manager Jamie Thompson was left with life-threatening injuries after a 12.5m fall from a training tower. 10 months later, with the support of The Fire Fighters Charity, this 38-year-old firefighter is literally back on his feet. Crew Manager Katie Love snapped her anterior cruciate ligament but defied the odds to make a recovery and get back on the run, with a little help from The Fire Fighters Charity. Station Manager Peter Lau suffered a life-changing spinal injury when his bike collided with a car, leaving him in a wheelchair. In 2015 Peter received the Beneficiary of Courage award at our Spirit of Fire awards.
