Firefighter and photojournalist Dan Homewood is on a mission to document daily life in the fire and rescue service, and the impact it can have on mental health. As a non-uniform member of fire and rescue service personnel, Michelle Halliwell didn't think she was eligible for support, but her visit to one of our centres proved to her how much she belonged. When Colin and Sadie Morris needed funding for a high-tech helmet to improve the life of their newborn son, The Fire Fighters Charity stepped in to help. Russell Gascoyne, Crew Manager from Blue Watch at Wokingham Fire Station, tore his anterior cruciate ligament whilst on a training drill. Earlier in her career, Sarah Cuthbert visited Marine Court for a recuperation break to help her to address the issues she was facing in her personal life. She left with a newfound clarity and focus, as well as something she wasn't expecting to find there - a husband.
