Surrey Fire and Rescue Service's Volunteer Manager Andy Hart spends his days helping organise the distribution of Personal Protection Equipment to non-NHS locations around the county. She agreed to contact the charity and see what they could do for her, but she had no idea just how much she would take away from her week at Marine Court. Receiving a diagnosis of scoliosis - a chronic pain condition - not long after her 17th birthday, Jade Turner turned to The Fire Fighters Charity to help her find ways to cope both physically and psychologically. Now the firefighter's daughter wants other young women to realise that when it comes to our bodies, there is no such thing as normal. Following a stressful period in her life, Claire turned to The Fire Fighters Charity for support. Here she explains how her time on the rehabilitation programme has transformed her life.
