Fire Cadets from across the UK have spent the last few months proving just how powerful teamwork can be, raising thousands of pounds through an inspiring range of fundraising challenges.

From sponsored walks and mountain climbs to car washes, community events, and even donating several tonnes of clothing, Cadet units have gone above and beyond to support members of our fire services community – and their impact has been truly amazing.

Leading the way was a group from Hampshire and Isle of Wight’s cadets, who took part in 48 community and charitable events – volunteering 3,031 hours of their time. Through local gatherings and remembrance ceremonies, alongside other fundraising, they helped raise over £18,000 for Fire Fighters Charity – a huge total.

Meanwhile, as the UK came together to remember Martyn Sadler, Jennie Logan and Dave Chester who tragically died in the Bicester Motion fire last year, cadets from Bicester Fire Station paid their own moving tribute by raising £3,000 in their honour.

The group cycled between fire stations across the county in the ‘Pedal for Purpose’ challenge.

Elsewhere, cadets pulled out all the stops to support our January Bag It and Bank It campaign, with a special mention going to Hunstanton Fire Cadets who collected the equivalent of 1,487kgs – which would put them 35th in the entire league. You can see all the results here.

In a collective effort, cadets from across the UK took part in a sponsored walk in April 2025, while Cheshire Fire Cadets and their leaders are busy fundraising to build classrooms for Nepalese schoolchildren, ahead of a14-day trip to Nepal in autumn 2026. They have already raised over £3,000 and you can donate to them here.

Other top fundraisers over the last year have included a group from LFB raising funds and awareness for Chinese New Year at Soho Fire Station.

And other star moments included car washes across the country, community events, demonstrations and more. We can’t thank all of you enough!
