It’s been another fantastic month of fundraising thanks to our supporters, and we’re delighted to celebrate each and every one of you – today and every day!
This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Paul Cregan, a retired firefighter from Somerset, who is auctioning off a large collection of fire service memorabilia to raise funds for us and St Margaret’s Hospice.
He says: “My late father, Martyn, and my collection of fire service memorabilia amounts to a substantial number of varied items.”

Martyn served in Somerset Fire Brigade – as it was known then – at Martock Fire Station from 1981 until 2001. During that time, he collected a considerable amount of fire service memorabilia including photos, scrapbooks of incidents and events attended during his service, model fire engines, items of uniform and equipment, badges, mementos and similar. Martyn passed away in 2017, bequeathing his entire collection to his son.
Paul joined the same station in 1986, before serving across Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service at Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater and Service Headquarters in both Taunton and Exeter.
And he’s just one of many incredible supporters doing their bit in aid of us…
