Pete Dunlop’s artwork was chosen by rock band The Cure for a recent tour poster, with all profits donated to us – after Pete’s parents were supported during a difficult time. Andrew Fenton ensured his dad, John’s, wishes were carried out when he died recently and made an incredibly meaningful donation, following years of supporting us. East Kilbride Fire Station has hosted a plant sale fundraiser in aid of us for the last 40+ years – and it’s become such a popular event, they have queues lining the streets. Keith Fire Station in Scotland organised an incredible golf day, with support from local businesses and neighbouring fire stations, in aid of us. David Gill set himself the challenge of running 8 miles every day for eight years, before upping it to match the length of the equator – an incredible 24,901 miles.
