A Norfolk-based construction and trainer provider raised a staggering £40,000 at its annual charity golf day this year – with the proceeds split between us and three other charities – proving it was nothing short of a hole-in-one,

DMD hosted its ninth event in May, teeing off with a full day of golf before moving into the evening for dinner, a raffle, live auction, casino, and more.

The funds raised have been split between us, Big C Cancer Charity, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices – EACH, and the Community Sports Foundation, with each of us receiving £10,000.

Steve Bowden, Managing Director at DMD, said: “Over the years, our charity golf day has raised incredible sums of money for our chosen charities, and this year we had the pleasure of adding another cause to our efforts: Fire Fighters Charity.

“Giving back to these charities and communities is an integral part of what DMD stands for, and we are so pleased to have raised the record total of £40,000. Thank you to the golfers, sponsors, the golf club, volunteers, organisers, and everyone involved for their efforts in making it a successful day.”

Charlotte Smith, our Regional Fundraiser, said: “On behalf of everyone at Fire Fighters Charity, I send my heartfelt thanks to DMD and all those involved in this incredible fundraising event, for your tireless efforts and passion for our cause.

“The funds raised through this event will help us continue to provide our life-changing care and support to more fire service personnel and their families, during and after service.”
