Firefighters Memorial Day: honouring our fire family
On May 4, we honour and thank all those who work in the fire service - past and present - for their dedication and service, and we remember all those we have lost.
On May 4, we honour and thank all those who work in the fire service - past and present - for their dedication and service, and we remember all those we have lost. The Government has announced long term measures to drive improvements to the health and wellbeing of firefighters across the country. We celebrated six decades of care and support at our West Sussex centre, with an event attended by fire chiefs, families, volunteers and The High Sheriff of West Sussex. Our supporters are at the heart of all we do. Here, we hear from a few of the thousands of women who have gone above and beyond to spread the word and raise vital funds. Our fire and rescue services community has been recognised by His Majesty King Charles III in this year's New Year's Honours.
