When Nikki Haxton-Jones’ husband, Danny, passed away, she vowed to raise money for us in his memory – and she and her two kids, as well as Danny’s colleagues, have continued ever since. Maria Smith’s husband, Rusty – who was an on-call firefighter for 31 years – passed away suddenly in May 2019. She’s now running the London Marathon in aid of us as a tribute to him and his colleagues. Nicky Lewis’ husband Martin was a firefighter in the RAF and MOD for several years. Thanks to your generous donations, he was helped by us in the months before he sadly passed away – and Nicky has been supported ever since. We’ve supported Phil Maynard for years – firstly with his mental health and more recently following a hip replacement. Now he’s going above and beyond to show his appreciation. Retired firefighter Lee Fisher and his wife Lynne visited Jubilee House for separate injuries. They say having supported the charity for years, they were able to get the help they both needed when they needed it most.
