Firefighters set up walking group in memory of retired colleague
A group of Leicestershire firefighters have set up a walking group and fundraiser in memory of their colleague Gary Chamberlain, who sadly passed away at the end of 2023.

Lancashire on-call firefighter, Glen Bailey, spent 24 hours continuously lifting weights in a gym to raise funds for us. David Gill set himself the challenge of running 8 miles every day for eight years, before upping it to match the length of the equator – an incredible 24,901 miles. Every year our fantastic partner, Elvis & Kresse, donates 50% of the profits of its Fire Hose Collection - and we're so incredibly grateful. A team of six firefighters - based in or around Loughborough - will take on 181 miles in full fire kit and BA in memory of their friend Andy Watt, who passed away on 28 July 2022.
