Honouring our 999 heroes on Emergency Services Day
Today marks Emergency Services Day – a chance to celebrate and applaud all those who work for our emergency services across the UK.
Today marks Emergency Services Day – a chance to celebrate and applaud all those who work for our emergency services across the UK. This week marks Volunteers' Week 2021, so we are giving a shout out to all of the volunteer heroes in our communities, in centres and online. We are delighted to share with you the winners for each of our awards for the Spirit of Fire 2020. Congratulations to everyone. Everything you need to know about joining us for our first ever virtual ceremony at 7pm on Wednesday 4 November, featuring a whole host of special guests and worthy nominees. By volunteering to run a Living Well Group in your area, you could help prevent loneliness among retired fire and rescue personnel. Communities Development Lead Clare Hannaford explains more.
