Once you’ve had an initial assessment with a member of our physio team, we can begin to create a programme of personalised exercises that are tailored to meet your individual need.

To do this, we use a piece of software called Salaso, which is available either as a website or an app you can access from your mobile phone, tablet or computer, any time, any place (with an internet connection).

This innovative digital platform allows us to remotely prescribe every single beneficiary with their own set of exercises and resources designed to enhance your recovery and improve health and wellbeing.

Whether you visit us in person or you speak to us remotely, our physio teams use this brilliant software to support beneficiaries in completing their prescribed exercise plans and adjust accordingly.

And the great thing about Salaso is that we can start working on your programme within a matter of days, if not hours, of your first conversation with us, meaning you don’t need to wait in order to begin your recovery from the comfort of your own home or gym.

So how does it work?

You can download Salaso from your app store or visit it via your desktop, but we’ll send you registration details to you after your initial assessment. We’ll then do all the work behind the scenes to compile your personalised programme.

Salaso contains a huge directory of specialist exercise videos that work different parts of the body, as well as containing educational resources and articles. Once they’ve identified your specific need, our practitioners can pick and choose exactly which of these would be most beneficial to your specific need, as well as uploading our own if necessary.

Each exercise has an accompany video that shows you exactly how to perform your exercises correctly, preventing yourself from doing any damage or not getting the most out of them.

You can also document your progress, sharing whether you were able to complete an exercise, how difficult you found it, and how many times you’ve managed. Not only does this allow you to chronicle things for yourself, it also means we can monitor things remotely, and if you’re finding exercises too difficult (or too easy!) we can adjust them for you.

The app also allows you to set reminders for yourself, so you don’t need to worry about forgetting to complete your exercises regularly. Salaso will tell you all you need to know, for example how many sets of each exercise you need to complete and how often they should be done.

And if you’d prefer a paper version, don’t worry, Salaso allows another option to give you easy-to-read printed formats of your dedicated exercise programme. If you can’t get onto that for yourself, we can arrange it for you.
