This year we asked for your help to Bag it and Bank it, to recycle like you’ve never recycled before and to hit our target of £40,000 worth of donated textiles in January.

Having weighed every sock, we are delighted to announce that fire stations across the UK admirably rose to this challenge and, together, collected 213,613KG of clothing last month, raising a staggering total of £45,895. A big thank you to all those of you who participated and helped to raise this incredible amount.

Our regional winners for 2017, and recipients of the coveted Rag Trophy are:

ENGLAND: Egremont Fire Station, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, collecting a whopping total of 11,007KG of clothing and textiles

SCOTLAND: Lanark Fire Station, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, collecting 1,025KG

WALES: Pontardulais Fire Station, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Llanelli Fire Station, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, who each collected 640KG.

The full results from all the fire stations with recycling banks can be seen in the map below. Click on a location to see how much money was raised by the recycling bank. Click on the icon in the top left corner of the left to view map key and filters.

Every penny you raised through our January Recycling Competition will help us to make a life-changing difference to those needing the support of the Charity from across the UK.
