It’s a busy time of year as we prepare for Christmas and all the festive events in store – but our wonderful supporters haven’t let it stop them going above and beyond to raise funds for us.

Thank you to all of you who have taken part in challenges, Open Days, events and more over the last month.

While we’ve seen some spectacular Brew With A Crews, we also saw services light up their drill towers following Halloween. Elsewhere, some took part in epic rowing challenges, rugby matches and even an incredible head shave, while one lady organised a Grease singalong for her birthday and a group of firefighters marched across the UK in a ‘Yompathon’ in aid of us and other charities.

Below are just a few of the highlights…

And don’t forget, you can share your amazing fundraising achievements, encourage others and share ideas on MyFFC. We also asked anyone regularly donating for the first time through November why they chose to support us:

While one said they’d used our services for a knee injury, so wanted to give back, another stated they’d “always had great respect for the service”.

Meanwhile one said they knew it’s a “good cause” and one said they’re part of three generations of firefighters in their family, so felt we were a cause close to their heart.

And for those giving one-off donations throughout the month:

One kind-hearted donor supported us in memory of their wife – and we thank them hugely for such a lovely gesture.

Another offered a donation following a local rescue, while one wanted to thank their local service for “help checking fire alarms and giving great advice”.

Finally, one stated with their donation: “Thank you attending an incident in our home.”
