The McCartan family from Northern Ireland recently attended the Charity's Child and family Programme. Here's their story. A much needed family break was welcomed by the Cunnea family from Hampshire when they attended the Child and Family Programme at Harcombe House in March 2016. Time is precious. We all know that – whether we’re at work, at home or at play, it always feels as if there aren’t enough hours in the day. Even so, there are those amongst us who go out of their way to try and give back to their local community by volunteering their time on top of all their daily responsibilities – Stuart Plaskett, The Fire Fighters Charity Service Coordinator for Cheshire Fire and Rescue, is just such a person. Devastatingly Hampshire firefighter Steve Holder lost his wife, Sharon last year, after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. However, in her memory he ran an incredible 20 marathons in 2016 to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity
